Where are sessions held?
Sessions can take place in my home studio in Seven Hills, NSW, at your workplace, or on location to suit your brand’s style and message. Whether it’s a creative outdoor space, a corporate environment, or a relaxed café setting, each session is designed to reflect your personality and professional identity. I also travel across Greater Sydney region, including the Blue Mountains, Central Coast; as well as Newcastle, Hunter Valley and South Coast regions; I am happy to go further when needed.
What time of day is best for photos?
For outdoor sessions, early morning or late afternoon to sunset provides the most flattering, natural light. For indoor or studio sessions, we’ll schedule a time that fits your routine and the look you want to achieve, whether that’s clean and corporate, warm and approachable, or creative and vibrant.
What should I wear?
Wear something that feels authentic to you and aligns with your professional or creative brand. Solid colours, neutrals, and simple tones photograph beautifully, while texture and layering can add depth. Avoid loud patterns or large logos unless they’re part of your brand identity. I’m happy to provide styling tips and guidance to help you choose outfits that complement your goals and setting.
When should I book my session?
To secure your preferred date and allow time for planning, it’s best to book 3–4 weeks in advance. This gives us the opportunity to discuss your vision, locations, wardrobe, and how you want your images to represent you and your brand.
How long does a session take?
Headshot and personal branding sessions typically run from 30 to 90 minutes, depending on your session type, number of looks, and locations. For larger business teams or multi-person sessions, we can create a tailored schedule to ensure an efficient and consistent experience for everyone.
Can I include my team or business partners?
Absolutely! Personal branding isn’t just for individuals; it’s perfect for small businesses, creative teams, and corporate groups. We can capture cohesive team imagery that highlights your shared values and professionalism, as well as individual portraits that reflect each person’s personality and role.
What happens if the weather isn’t great?
If you’ve booked an outdoor session and the weather isn’t ideal, we’ll simply reschedule to another day. Overcast light is often beautiful for portraits, but in cases of rain or strong wind, I’ll work with you to find a new time that fits your schedule.
Can I include props, products, or brand elements?
Definitely. Incorporating brand elements; such as laptops, tools of your trade, signage, or products, helps tell your story and adds personality to your images. Whether you’re an artist, entrepreneur, or corporate professional, props can make your photos more engaging and relevant to your brand.
